So it has a population of nearly 1.33 billion or 133 crores (at the time of writing post) so we need more than 1.33 billion phone number. So if we have a two digit phone number we can have phone numbers from 00,01,02,03...............98,99 = 100 numbers. Means if we have 2 digit phone number then last digit (99) +1 = total phone numbers (100).
